2010 02 The HUGE Snowstorm Feb 6
Morning of Feb 6th. Had to use tracked vehicles with bucket loaders to move the snow. No place for trucks to plow it.
Frank's snowblower was the only way we could move the snow
We all lost heat because the snow covered the furnace air intake
Three feet of snow over the top of the air intake
This is the roof of my house where I shoveled off three feet of snow covering air intakes for furnace and chimney for hot water heater and dryer
My neighbor, their heater intakes were covered as well.
Note, air intake is hidden under snow
Looking back at my own roof
Now you can see my neighbors chimneys
Looking down at the snow in my backyard
I survived crawling up on my roof to shovel out the furnance air intake!
Here you can see the depth of snow that fell in my driveway
This felt like living in NY again. Couple feet of snow on both sides of the sidewalk
The pine trees were so beautiful heavy laden with snow.
My snow shoveling helpers...
The snow was higher than my helpers!
The drifts to the backyard were chest high.
Walking through the drifts without snowshoes was impossible.
After shoveling the vents free I tried to use a snow rake to clear the snow
Without Frank and his snowblower we never would have been able to shovel our driveways.
The street was looking good by 6PM on Feb 6th.
Hard to tell is is supposed to be our sidewalk
This car did not move for a long time
